9 days tour though three of the country's best National Parks. Cuc Phuong National Park is one of Vietnam's oldest national parks and consequently one of the best managed. Bach Ma National Park, one of the few locations in Vietnam where the term 'eco-tourism' is more than a marketing slogan. And Nam Cat Tien, one of Vietnam's larger National Parks and the largest tropical rainforest in the country.

Highlights: Tour include sub-tropical and tropical forests, rich bio-diversity, endemic, rare and endangered species of flora and fauna, bird watching and hiking through a variety of habitatsl.
 
Day 1:  Hanoi arrival
Pick up at airport and transfer to hotel. Free stroll around to explore Hanoi's 1000 Years Old Quarter (if time permits). Stay overnight at hotel.
 
Day 2:  Hanoi - Cuc Phuong nation park (B, L, D)
You will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi for driving to Cuc Phuong, about 140 km south of Hanoi by road, is one of Vietnam's oldest national parks and consequently one of the best managed. It's approximately 22, 000 ha of subtropical forest and karst limestone scenery, and home to an extraordinary range of unique species. Apart from exploring the forest, you'll visit the park's Endangered Primate Centre, where you'll be able to see two of the rarest species in the world, the critically endangered Delacour and Catba langurs. Stay overnight at National Park guest house.
 
* Note: The best time for Cuc Phuong is from October to May. Avoid the summer as the parks biodiversity includes a large contingent of leeches that get hungry in hot humid weather. April to May sees clouds of millions of butterflies spiralling in pockets of sunshine. .
 
Day 3:  Cuc Phuong national park - Hanoi (B, L, D)
After breakfast, walking to see flora, fauna and one-thousand-year-old sequoia tree, the cave of Prehistoric man in Cuc Phuong National Park. Have lunch at the Park restaurant. Turn back to Hanoi for flight to Hue. Stay overnight at hotel in Hue.
 
Day 4:  Hue - Bach Ma national park (B, L, D)

Depart at 8: 00 Am from your hotel, one and half hour you will arrive at Bach Ma National Park. The park is dominated by a single 1, 448m peak wrapped in tropical monsoon forest below and topped by sub-tropical vegetation. You will visit Do Quyen Waterfall - is astounding and huge in the wooded mountain. It is more than 300m high and 20-30m wide. It is amazing to watch the silver water running into the bright red of water-rail flowers. After lunch, we will walk to Hai Vong Dai - Sea Observation Post where people can have a panoramic view of immense sea and surrounding scenery. Stay over night at park's guesthouse.

*Note: The best time to visit is from December to September, the leeches make their appearance in October and November.

 
Day 5:  Bach Ma national park - Hue - Ho Chi Minh city (B, L, D)
Morning in the park with walking around and discover the nature to explore the beautiful scenery and many endemic species, and is particularly rich in birdlife. Turn back to Hue airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Stay overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
 
Day 6:  Ho Chi Minh City - Nam Cat Tien national park (B, L, D)
Drive to Nam Cat Tien National Park, stopping en route at the rubber and tobacco plantation. After arrival in Nam Cat Tien Park, check into the local guesthouse. The 70, 000 hectare park is home to various species of giant trees and large wild animals such as the Asian elephant, bison and rhinoceros. Accommodation at guesthouse for overnight stay.
(Optional walk to the Heaven Waterfall, if time permits).
 
Day 7: Bau Sau (B, L, D)
Have a 4x4 drive to Bau Chim and Bau Sau areas, staging points for the day’s trek. Trek for two and a half hours deep into the forest. In Bau Sau, canoe around a lake, then trek back to the parking lot for the drive back to the guesthouse. (Optional night 4x4 ride into the Nui Tuong forest to look for nocturnal animals.) Overnight at the guesthouse.
 
Day 8:  Nam Cat Tien - Ho Chi Minh city (B)
Have a lazy morning of yourself to write your diary or to continue exploring the park. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
 
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - Departure
Free until time transfer to airport for flight back home. Tour ends.
