Day 1: Saigon – My Tho – Ben Tre – Cai Be Vinh Long - Homestay (L/D) |
Depart
at 8: 30am from Saigonto My Tho, explore part of Mekong River by
cruising along the river to see the local fishing port where hundreds
of fishing boats anchoring to unload fishes. Get to visit an orchard
island where you can experience how people make their living from fruit
trees. Enjoy tasting seasonal fruits and honey tea while listening to
amateur local artists playing Tai Tu music (kinds of typical southern
music).
Spend
some minutes rowing through densed palm trees – canal. Get to visit
another islet for a short walk in a peaceful asmosphere and shade of
fruit trees. Cruising more to a garden restaurant on the side of a
canal for lunch.
Driveto
Vinh Long and stay at farmer house Orto Cai Beto Ba Đức’s house – a
colonial restored house, which has been built from 19th Century and renovated in early 20th Century modestly hidden in the freshly green color of 2.5ha orchard garden.
Few
minutes walks in its garden, for sure, will help you release all of
stressfull things before joining the typical Vietnamese set menu dinner
(prepared by the host family). It is a great chance to join with the
owner to cook your food especially the crispy spring-roll. Occopy your
owned cosy bed, enjoy the feeling of ease and relax. |

Day 2: Cai Be - Vinh Long - Can Tho (B/L) |
Simple
breakfast & relax in the house. The program will start with the
visit of Cai Be colourful floating market cruising among local barges
full of fruits and vegetables. Then, an optional stop can be made at
local workshops where you can see how rices paste, coconut candy and
pop-rice, pop-corn are made.
It
is so interesting to visit the handicraft village where you can see how
they make some special products: making rice-net for spring-rolls, fish
sauce & soya sauce, cooking salt, sewing coconut-leaves for cottage
proof...
A delicious lunch will be served at an ancient house over 170 years old or under the shade of local orchards on the An Binh Island.
After
lunch, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on
smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time. It is so interesting to
see traditional houses made of wood and palm
tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an
apportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish or
pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta.
One
more stop can be made at the nursery garden where you can learn how to
have some high quality fruit trees. This is the best choice for you to
contact the real famous farmers – Mr Tiger & his son who are very
sucessful in Vietnam agriculture. We will enjoy some kinds of fruits
from his garden & home made rice wine when listening to the
traditional music. The cruise will end at around 15: 30pmin Vinh Long
town. Drive to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho. Dinner on guest’s
account. |

Day 3: Can Tho - Ha Tien (B/L) |
After
breakfast, take a boat trip to see Cai Rang, the biggest floating
market in Mekong Delta. See the living market with the farmer in the
South. Enjoy the fruit in garden. Return to dry land in time to visit
the ancient house of the Duong family. Leave Can Tho for Ha Tien via
Thot Not, 45km to the north of Can Tho. Visit to Thot Not Stork
Sanctuary. Watch from a viewing tower above the treetops as thousands
of egrets, herons and cormorants arrive to roost in the branches.
Continue on to Ha Tien. Overnight at hotel in Ha Tien. Dinner on
guest’s account. |

Day 4: Ha Tien Sight Seeing (B/L) |
After breakfast, a full day tour including visit to Phu Dung Pagoda, also called Phu Cu Am Tu, was founded in the mid-18th
century by Mac Cuu’s second wife. the next visit is Thach Dong cave
pagoda, also known as Chua Thanh Van, there is a stele of Hatred
commemorating the massacre of 130 people here by Khmer Rouge on 14
March 1979. Continue to Mui Nai beach & see Cambodia boulder.
Afternoon
to Hong Chong to visit Hang pagoda, the big attraction in Hon Chong.
Visit to Duong beach from the busy end of the beach, you can see Son
island, several hundred matters offshore, it is said to be shaped like
a father embracing his son. Back to Ha Tien. Overnight in Ha Tien. |

Day 5: Ha Tien - Chau Doc (B/L) |
After breakfast,
leave Ha Tien and head southwest to Chau Doc, on the Cambodian border,
deep in the Mekong Delta. And transfer to hotel on arrival. In the late
afternoon drive up Sam Mountain to watch the sun set over the Cambodian border. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight in Chau Doc. |

Day 6: Chau Doc - Sadec - Saigon (B/L) |
After
breakfast take a boat to visit the unique farms where fish are bred in
wooden cages suspended under floating houses on the river. Continue by
boat to visit a village of stilt houses belonging to the Cham minority
where colorful traditional textiles are woven on old wooden looms.
Return to dry land in time to leave Chau Doc for Saigon.
Break the journey at Sadec, a delta town famous for its cultivation of exotic fruit and flowers, to visit the orchards and garden of Mr. Tu Ton. Continue to onwards to Saigon by road. Transfer to hotel on arrival in Saigon. Dinner on guest's account. End of Services. |
